It was the missing string in Sézane’s bow. The French label, founded in 2013 by Morgane Sézalory, has recently added a sportswear line to its range, with a capsule collection consisting of 23 items. The collection is called EPS (as in Éducation Philosophique et Sportive). It was launched as a limited-edition offering on November 6 and is available only on Sézane’s website, following the commercial model on which the label has based its success.

Among the products featured in the EPS capsule collection, the Surya leggings (priced at €65), the Camille sports bra (€45) and the Jeannette top (€40). Sézane devised the line chiefly for the practice of yoga, but it also included items suitable for aerobic exercise such as the Capucine sweatshirt (€85) and the EPS t-shirt (€45).

As Sézane is busy building up an eco-sustainable range, it utilised 100% recycled and ecological materials for this new activewear collection. The t-shirts and sweatshirts notably use Global Organic Textile Standard-certified, 100% organic cotton.

Sézane recently opened a self-service-style shop at 63 Boulevard des Batignolles in Paris, and altogether operates seven monobrand stores. The label led by Morgane Sézalory, who was interviewed by FashionNetwork.com in October, continues to expand and in 2019 it is expected to exceed the revenue of €80 million it recorded in 2018.
