Ralph Lauren opens Ralph's Café on boulevard Saint-Germain in Paris

The Ralph Lauren Parisian flagship store at 173 boulevard Saint-Germain, which already operates the Ralph’s restaurant, has opened a temporary coffee shop, Ralph's Café, on February 22.

Ralph's Café has already been tested in Tokyo, Hong Kong and New York, where it featured as the Coffee Truck concept at the Rockefeller Center. It is now also open on the ground floor of the US label's Saint-Germain-des-Prés store, for the duration of the Paris Fashion Week, until March 5.
 
Customers will be able to enjoy the café’s own brand of bio coffee, hot chocolates, teas and a selection of desserts and snacks, “the designer’s favourites,” from brownies to muffins, cookies, popcorn, yoghurt parfait and even a five-tired chocolate cake.

For the décor, Ralph Lauren went for a “warm, snug” atmosphere, with banquettes, round marble tables, a counter and bistro-style chairs, while the staff is dressed in jeans, white Oxford shirt, tie and apron with the café’s logo.
 
Ralph Lauren has an increasingly large catering presence: besides other temporary cafés, it operates four restaurants: in Paris, London (Ralph’s Coffee & bar), New York (the Polo Bar) and Chicago (the RL Grill). Other labels have introduced similar establishments, among them Armani and, more recently, French label Maison Kitsuné.
