New York fashion label Rag & Bone and French eyewear brand Vuarnet have fused their own distinctive styles into an eyewear capsule collection offering a new take on four Vuarnet models, by introducing exclusive new colours typical of Rag & Bone's men's and women's lines.

Rag & Bone has applied its signature colours to existing Vuarnet styles

The revamped models are two classics, the 'Glacier' and the '02', and the new 'Cable Car' and 'District' models, all featuring Vuarnet's signature mineral tinted lenses.

The Rag & Bone for Vuarnet collection is available at Rag & Bone stores, on the vuarnet.com website and at selected Vuarnet retailers.

The move comes ahead of Rag & Bone launching its own eyewear in two years' time after it signed a deal with Safilo.

Vuarnet was created in France in 1957, and a few years ago the Neo Capital investment fund acquired a stake in the brand, now led by CEO Lionel Giraud.

Vuarnet operates a monobrand store in Paris and France is its main market, followed by the US and Italy, two countries where the brand is keen to expand. In all of these markets it has adopted a premium-price positioning, especially in the US, where the $200 entry-level price is slightly higher than the corresponding one in Europe.

Vuarnet is the only producer worldwide that uses mineral lenses only for its eyewear, ensuring a higher degree of precision, protection and durability.

Rag & Bone was founded in 2002 by Marcus Wainwright and Nathan Bogle (who was replaced in 2006 by David Neville). It manufactures and retails apparel and footwear via its own monobrand stores (the latest opening was at London's Old Spitalfields Market last December) and over 700 multibrand retailers worldwide.
