Primark France adds to management team

The French subsidiary of Irish budget fashion retailer Primark has announced the appointment of two new senior executives. Alexandra Wagner has been named communications director, and Ayoub Rabia has been appointed regional manager for the Rhône-Alpes, Grand Est area. “Primark continues to expand in France, in order to realise its strategy of opening new stores in 2022 and 2023,” the chain stated in a press release.

Wagner, 52, who had been working for French advertising agency Havas Paris since 2004, is taking charge of Primark’s internal and external communications on the French market. At Havas Paris, Wagner “has consulted for several companies in the retail, lifestyle, tourism and food & beverage sectors, advising their top management on the deployment of their corporate and consumer strategies,” said Primark.

Primark's French store network had until now been overseen by three regional managers. Rabia, 37, is joining the team as the fourth regional manager, in charge of the Rhône-Alpes, Grand Est area. He joined Primark France in 2014 as department manager of the O'Parinor shopping mall branch, and has risen through the ranks to this new position. In the last year, he was in charge of the Créteil branch.

Primark operates 20 branches in France, with a total retail area of 96,990 square meters and 5,820 employees. The chain is planning to open more stores in France in the future, in Nantes, Rouen, Mulhouse and Saint-Étienne. Primark currently operates over 400 branches worldwide, and is aiming to reach the 530-store milestone by the end of 2026.
