In October, LVMH, the world’s number-one luxury group, will open 95 of its sites, including hotels, fashion ateliers and jewellery workshops that are usually closed to the general public, for the fifth edition of the ‘Private Days’ initiative.

LVMH will allow access to a Tiffany jewellery workshop in New York - Tiffany

Among the new venues open to the public this year there will be a Tiffany design workshop in New York and the Belmond hotels in Italy, as LVMH indicated, adding that ‘Private Days’ is scheduled on October 14-16 across 16 countries.

In Paris, some sites will be opening to the public for the first time, like the laboratory of beauty brand Officine Universelle Buly (acquired by LVMH in 2021), Repossi’s jewellery workshop in place Vendôme, the Kenzo design studios and the Berluti bespoke tailoring atelier.

In 2018, the latest edition of ‘Private Days’ attracted 180,000 visitors. Except during the pandemic, the initiative has been held every two years since 2011.

LVMH, owner among others of Louis Vuitton, Dior, Moët & Chandon, Chaumet and Guerlain, set new records for sales and profitability in 2021, with a revenue in excess of €64 billion and net earnings of €12 billion, well above the group’s pre-pandemic results.

LVMH employs 175,000 people worldwide, 32,800 of whom are based in France.
