Which catwalk queen is about to be crowned International Model of 2016?

Five of the biggest supermodels in the world will battle it out Monday evening for the title of International Model 2016 at the British Fashion Awards. So, which one deserves it most? Here's the lowdown on the finalists.

Adwoa Aboah
Adwoa Aboah has had a hectic year. The latest cool Brit on the fashion scene has starred in campaigns for Calvin Klein, Roberto Cavalli, Marc Jacobs and H&M, as well as taking to the runway numerous times for DKNY, Fendi and Rihanna's Fenty x Puma, among others. In between all the glamour, the London native has been busy promoting her social initiative Gurls Talk -- a feminist platform that encourages young women to talk openly about personal issues or experiences.

Bella Hadid
2016 was the year that Bella Hadid officially gave big sister Gigi a run for her money in the supermodel queen stakes. The California native has had a stellar year, being snapped up as the face of Dior Beauty in August and starring in Fendi's 90th anniversary runway show at Rome's Trevi Fountain in July. Amidst high-profile appearances at all the major fashion weeks, she set pulses racing off the runway when she showed up to the Cannes Film Festival in that red Alexandre Vauthier dress, which saw her star factor skyrocket. She ended the year on a high with her debut role in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

Gigi Hadid
But Gigi's not giving up the crown that easily. The model has strengthened her brand by making the ultimate move -- the transition to designer -- with her debut fashion collection. Created with Tommy Hilfiger, 'TommyxGigi' made its debut in September to huge success, and a second instalment is scheduled for February 2017. She also designed a boot for Stuart Weitzman, became an ambassador for Reebok, and hit the headlines for her job as co-host of the American Music Awards in November. She also walked for some of the biggest names in the industry, starred in multiple Versace campaigns and landed the August cover of US Vogue.

Kendall Jenner
Fellow LA native Kendall Jenner continued to build her off-runway business empire this year, launching her own video game, Topshop bikini collection and exclusive nine-piece capsule collection for Neiman Marcus with sister Kylie. She took to the catwalk for all the heavy hitters, from Chanel to Givenchy, starred in lingerie campaigns for La Perla and Calvin Klein campaign and caused a sensation when she donned a blonde wig for Balmain's Fall/Winter fashion show.

Lineisy Montero
Dominican model Lineisy Montero's star is rising fast. 2016 saw her make countless catwalk appearances for the biggest names in the business, including Givenchy, Dior, Chanel and Prada, to name just a few, as well as featuring heavily during the major haute couture shows. She starred in H&M's Fall beauty campaign, posed for Spring/Summer 2017 shoots for Zara and Chanel and landed the August cover of Elle France, the Spring 2016 cover of i-D Magazine and the March cover of Harper's Bazaar UK.
