UK's Henrichs launches crowdfunding campaign

Last September saw the launch of Henrichs, a fashion line brand that makes high-visibility reflective clothing for outdoor activities. The clothes are water-and windproof and meant to be used when cycling, running, walking and motor-biking.

The label has now launched a crowdfunding campaign on the Born.com platform for its collection, which consists of capes, vests, collars and bands. Henrichs' clothes are all handmade in London.

The number of cyclists in London has gone up by 75% since 2005-6, meaning there is a booming market for protective gear.

Founder, Sara Henrichs, says: "There are so many cyclists, bikers and joggers in cities, particularly at night, who need protection. Many of them are fashion-conscious and don't want to wear the ubiquitous high-visibility clothing. My designs will encourage them to look stylish and be safer at the same time. The collection allows people to wear their normal clothing underneath Henrichs designs."
