Stradivarius, the Inditex brand targeting young fashion-conscious women, has opened the doors of its first store in Wales over the Easter weekend.

The 5,200 sq ft store is located on the Upper Grand Arcade at St David’s in Cardiff. It takes the total number of Stradivarius stores in the UK to five, including others in London’s Westfield Stratford City and on Regent Street.

The brand entered the UK market in 2014, with offerings similar to that of Zara’s younger line TRF. The new store in Cardiff stocks a range of clothing, footwear and accessories for women.

Speaking on behalf of the St David’s Partnership, a joint venture between Landsec and Intu, Colin Flinn, regional managing director - west, commented: “The Stradivarius launch alongside the current strong fashion offering, cements St David’s as one of the leading retail locations within the UK and one which appeals to international brands wanting to expand.”

Stradivarius is only the latest brand to open at the shopping centre in the last 12 months. CK Underwear, Oliver Bonas and Lovisa have also recently launched stores there, while Kurt Geiger relocated within the centre and Superdry refurbished its store.
