Sabyasachi Mukherjee taps L'Oreal for debut cosmetic line starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Sabyasachi Mukherjee has released his first makeup collection with L'Oreal. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is the face of the 21-piece collection, which has launched online.

Sabyasachi Mukherjee debuted his first makeup line on Instagram on Wednesday, which features a selection of red lipsticks, a liquid eyeliner, and mascara, among other products. The idea behind the line is to provide all the products needed for a classic and glamorous festival look.

“For me, classic is iconic, because classic is unforgettable,” wrote the designer, on the social media platform.

“The whole world is moving towards a state of effective simplicity where classic will lead the way. Makeup will be more about a stronger, lasting identity. A winged black liner with a bold red mouth offset with a simple saree and wind-swept hair is perhaps an iconic Indian beauty look.”

Rai Bachchan stars in the collection’s campaign, which was shot in Paris on July 15 at the city’s iconic Eiffel Tower. ​Rai Bachchan was styled in a white saree for the campaign with a classic red lip.
