Nicolas Houzé (Galeries Lafayette) named Chairman of the International Association of Department Stores

Nicolas Houzé, chief executive of Galeries Lafayette and BHV, has just been elected as the Chairman of the International Association of Department Stores (IADS), headquartered in Paris.

For his new role, Nicolas Houzé will succeed Mr Ji, Chairman of the Shin Kong Place department store in Beijing. Houzé has been elected for a one year long, renewable term.

The association was founded in 1928 and currently has 18 members from the largest department stores in the world. The members meet regularly and set up working groups to address the influence and reinvention of department stores.
