Nicholas Kirkwood reimagines Bulgari's Serpenti bag

The Italian luxury fashion label known for its classic styles is stepping up its innovative design in its latest collaboration, with British footwear designer Nicholas Kirkwood. The London-born designer, famous for his quirky and feminine creations, will reimagine the Bulgari Serpenti line for a capsule with a contemporary edge.

"I wanted to create a collection for Bulgari that took their classic Serpenti insignia and gave it a contemporary feel," Kirkwood said. "I kept thinking about London when designing it and the feminine irreverence of its residents that inspires my own designs.”

The Bulgari Serpenti Forever Collection by Nicholas Kirkwood sees four items, including a shoulder bag, backpack, pochette and a wallet, in a "gemstone palette" of black and white, pink, blue, and gold. All are decorated with a studded chevron pattern, retaining the Serpenti Forever motif. 

Debuting September 1, the collection will be available via the Nicholas Kirkwood store in London, as well as at selection of Bulgari stores and online from retailers including Net-a-Porter, Printemps and Saks.
