Lingerie retailer Hunkemöller named as 'Top Employer' Netherlands

Dutch lingerie retailer Hunkemöller has been named ‘Top Employer’ Netherlands, a certification awarded annually by the Amsterdam-based International Top Employers Institute. The organization rates companies in areas such as salary, employment conditions, development and training opportunities.

In order for Hunkemöller to be considered for the title of ‘Top Employer’ for the Netherlands, the company had to complete a HR ‘Best Practices Survey’, which consisted of 100 questions. The questions concerned more than 600 practices that are used worldwide. At least 60% of the total score must be obtained to achieve the ‘Top Employers’ certification.

Hunkemöller CEO Phillip Mountford said of the certification: “Great people power great brands. This has been our dream from the beginning. Without the efforts of fantastic people, it is not possible to design beautiful products, and in our case create an omni-channel experience in stores and online. The certification is a great honor, but it is mainly due to the passionate team that contributes to the development of our dream.”

In addition to Hunkemöller, 67 organizations have been certified as ‘Top Employer’ in the Netherlands this year. Other certified employers in the Netherlands include A.S. Watson Benelux and Adidas. Globally, the Employers Institute has certified more than 1300 ‘Top Employers’ in 113 countries in 2018.

In 2017, Hunkemöller was also named as 'Retailer of the Year' by Dutch retail consultancy firm Q&A.
