Gucci is in the middle of a deep love affair with the art world. The luxury fashion house on Wednesday announced a trilogy of photography exhibitions in celebration of fashion magazine A Magazine Curated By featuring Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele.

The exhibition will showcase an extended portfolio of imagery from a different photographer in each city. Starting in Art Basel Hong Kong, the exhibit will feature family portraits taken by Petra Collins in Budapest, followed by Beijing with Coco Capitán’s handwritings and snapshots of Rome and Florence. The third location is Taipei, which will feature portraits of Joshua Tree, California by Gia Coppela. Each exhibition will feature an immersive projection room displaying a psychedelic audio-visual collage.

A Magazine Curated By is a fashion magazine that explores the universe of a chosen fashion designer in each issue. N°A Featuring Dirk Van Saene was the first ‘A Magazine’ in 2001, followed by Bernhard Willhelm, Hussein Chalayan, Olivier Theyskens, and Viktor & Rolf.

A Magazine Curated By Maison Martin Margiela released in 2004 followed by designers such as Yohji Yamamoto, Haider Ackermann, Jun Takahashi, Kris Van Assche, Riccardo Tisci, Iris Van Herpen and Thom Browne among others.

Prior to the photography exhibit, Gucci partnered with artist Trouble Andrew on the GucciGhost collection, launched the 4 Rooms art project at Dover Street Ginza, and launched a limited edition Blind For Love book with Assouline, featuring the work of British photographer Nick Waplington.

Art Basel Hong Kong will be held at the Convention & Exhibition Centre on 1 Harbour Road in Wan Chai from March 23 through 25.
