Diesel Black Gold inspired by 1990s for AW 2017-18 collection

The Diesel Black Gold AW 2017-18 womenswear collection by designer Andreas Melbostad is a nostalgic throwback to the latter's years as a London student in the 1990s, remembering his girlfriends' long dresses, leisurely worn with low-heeled shoes and an urban attitude.

The collection's leitmotif is the same, but its long lines apply to a contemporary range of items: jeans that turn into pin-stripe trousers, biker jackets into strapless dresses, and trousers looking like skirts. Melbostad also presented long knitwear dresses, trousers pin-striped on the front and monochrome on the back, patchwork dresses and shearling jackets, and even sequinned skirts worn with men's jackets and sneakers.
