Danish footwear brand Ecco puts Michael Dahl Christensen in charge of EMEA region

Danish footwear manufacturer Ecco has promoted its Commercial Director Michael Dahl Christensen to the post of General Manager EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), following the departure of Frank Dissmann, who decided to leave the company after only a year and a half in charge.

Dissman took up his post in January 2017 and was tasked with strengthening the brand’s position in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as improving its organisation in Central Europe.

Michael Dahl Christensen has been with Ecco for many years. From 2002 to 2007 he was Retail Director for Central and East Europe. After a break of about six years, Christensen returned to the Ecco group in 2013, as Retail Director of Ecco’s retail affiliate KRM AG for Central and East Europe. In 2014, he was appointed Retail Director of KRM AG, with a seat on the company's board of directors. In February 2017, he was back at Ecco's headquarters as Commercial Director in charge of global business development.
