Caroline Wozniacki and Ovvo launch eyewear collection

Tennis champion Caroline Wozniacki has partnered with Ovvo Optics to release an eleven-silhouette eyewear capsule for men and women called the C. Wozniacki + Ovvo Collection.

The collection features seven styles for women and four for men. Women's styles include a butterfly silhouette, as well as Wozniacki's favorite oversized aviators, and are available in three colorways.

Wozniacki factored in form and function when coming up with the glasses, saying in a release, "It was important to me that they're light and can be worn for hours and that they don't slide off your face."

Ovvo is positioning the collection as both a lifestyle and athletic line. The glasses are made using Ovvo's patented screwless hinges and lightweight construction. Materials for the frames include surgical steel and titanium composite.

"We were inspired by Caroline's strong sense of self, her competitive spirit and her commitment to being the best," explained Ovvo's founders. 

Wozniacki is the 2018 Australia Open champion and current #2 female tennis player in the world behind Romania's Simona Halep.

The C. Wozniacki + Ovvo Collection is now available through Ovvo. Price points range from $335 to $360 for the women's styles and $335 to $375 for men's glasses.
