Atelier Swarovski launches debut eyewear line

Almost two months after renewing its exclusive global eyewear license with the Marcolin Group, Swarovski is launching its first line of Atelier Swarovski sunglasses. Five styles in colors including pastel shades and bold hues comprise this debut offering, out from February.

Founded in 2007 by Nadja Swarovski, Atelier Swarovski last year celebrated a decade of collaborations with upcoming and reputed designers in the world of jewelry and interior design. Now, a few months down the line, the label is branching out with the launch of its first eyewear line in partnership with the Marcolin Group.

"We are thrilled to extend our product offering for Atelier Swarovski with our debut eyewear collection, expertly made in Italy. The designs are a luxurious celebration of our crystal and the cutting-edge design and craftsmanship at the heart of the brand," said Nadja Swarovski.

Crystals evidently feature strongly in the collection, which includes five styles. There are two models with fluid lines -- a pair of frameless mask-like shades and a modern slim-frame style -- as well as a customized acetate frame, a round frame style and a metal frame model. The sunglasses are finished in shades of powder pink, electric blue, purple, black and red.

Each pair of Atelier Swarovski shades comes with a white leatherette case with an imitation suede lining. The collection is due out from February 2018, priced €350 to €450.
